I love how The Chosen has helped me go back and read and go deeper with The Word.
Matthew 9 - I
Jesus Forgives and Heals a Paralytic
9 So He got into a boat, crossed over, and came to His own city. 2 Then behold, they brought to Him a paralytic lying on a bed. When Jesus saw their faith, He said to the paralytic, “Son, be of good cheer; your sins are forgiven you.” 3 And at once some of the scribes said within themselves, “This Man blasphemes!” 4 But Jesus, knowing their thoughts, said, “Why do you think evil in your hearts? 5 For which is easier, to say, ‘Your sins are forgiven you,’ or to say, ‘Arise and walk’? 6 But that you may know that the Son of Man has power on earth to forgive sins”—then He said to the paralytic, “Arise, take up your bed, and go to your house.” 7 And he arose and departed to his house. 8 Now when the multitudes saw it, they marveled[a] and glorified God, who had given such power to men.
It is so important the way these people GOT IT DONE. They GOT TO JESUS. They ripped the roof apart! They got their friend lowered down right in front of everyone there. And they made it into the Bible, their story. Their faith.
Never ever should we doubt the faith we hold for others. I believe Bevvy will Walk with Christ. I believe every prayer I pray for friends and family, business and even large groups - every prayer is heard and my faith deepens not only for me and my every day benefit and balance - but, these prayers are answered because of my unwavering faith. Yes, it is true.
I watch the pure evil in the world calling itself food shortage, and women's bodies women's rights, and climate change. I watch the story behind the story we have all be gazing at my entire lifetime. And now, mostly, I am calm. I marvel at my God, knowing this is scripted, and in His plan. A plan I do not understand but I have faith.
My faith for Bev's life is like lowering her down through the thatched roof of someone's home. It is like calling out to Jesus expectantly, to be heard. It is also like the 5/2 - five loaves and two fish:
My job is to show up, be salt and light - and trust God has this. Trust Jesus heals who he chooses to heal. Trust that I am walking in faith, sharing that faith, and announcing that faith everywhere, every day. That is my faith. That is my 5 and 2.
