^{Romans 26-27} In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans. ²⁷ And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for God’s people in accordance with the will of God.

What is Speaking in Tongues? Are we supposed to be able Speak in Tongues? What dos the Bible say? Is it a Gift from the Holy Spirit - for our times?

Paul attempted to help them understand its purpose: “There are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. There are differences of ministries, but the same Lord. And there are diversities of activities, but it is the same God who works all in all. But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all: for to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, to another the word of knowledge through the same Spirit, to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healings by the same Spirit, to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another discerning of spirits, to another different kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues.” 1 Corinthians 12:4-10.

Have you received the Baptism of the Holy Spirit? I did recently, and it has changed everything, again! It is the private, odd, unique language between You and the Holy Spirit. I have witnessed and I have experienced and now have participated in healings with this Powerful Gift.

God's Word teaches us that when we are filled with the Holy Spirit, we speak with other tongues as the Spirit of God gives utterance.

Speaking in tongues is an initial evidence of the baptism of the Holy Spirit: “And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance” (Acts 2:4).

^{Hebrews 12}   For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.

 Mark 16:15-18 Jesus said, “Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned and these signs shall follow them that believe; in my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.”

This is all new to me. Every Word of the Bible is alive for us to understand and activate.
