My Pastor was in DC. With a target on his back and with the burden, on his knees on the steps of the Supreme Court, Pastor Greg Locke walks the walk he preaches from the Bible, and he unashamedly challenges others - especially pastors - who do not. I have attended 4 different churches here in my home town to find my supplemental Jesus-feed when I can't get down to Global Vision Bible Church and the tent, in Mt. Juliet Tennessee.

I have not found one pastor in those 4 churches that went to DC, and, they also didn't address Roe VS Wade in their sermons. So Where is the Church?

I get so many comments about "Jesus was not political and it is His Church." Hmmmm well I am still new to the Word, but, I am pretty sure it is safe to say that our LORD was and is still THE most political person to walk the earth. He turned EVERYTHING upside down while rendering unto Caesar what is Caesar. While building the discipleship of the Kingdom.

Okay, so: What do we do here and now? We are built for this time - you can tell because we are here.

So what do we do with that encroaching line of society shaping our church? The mediocrity of The Word being shared, the soft-sell. The don't offend anybody. The non-repentant. The loss of the fear of God.

It has moved from a mega church in LA having "Blacks only services "so the "African American brothers and sisters can feel safe" - (and that posted right on their site goes UNCHALLENGED?) - all the way to a drag queen to be "certified" within an Illinois christian church. Little c.

I lived my entire life until this past year as a lesbian: I was married to a fantastic powerful beautiful woman for 20 years. There will be a marvelous post about her passing in December 2021 (she was looking right at Jesus for 20 hours, telling us so, and there was not a single "health" reason for her to die)... and it deserves a special post.

But I say that here because as we found Jesus, and as we came to BELIEVE the WORD... we realized that our living had been outside of That Word. Jesus wrote a book for us. And we believe every word. And we repented our covenant and our marriage. And our love for each other thrived, our respect deepened. We marveled at ourselves and our very easy shift. We loved each other so completely and it really could have been without the label and influence of "Gay"  - the sexual part - but we knew no other label for how we had been living. 

This is a big story that I really have to post separately - for right now, let me just sort of claim a past that can show you how far from the TRUTH we can all get because we are nice.

because we love Jesus.

because we care for animals.

because we meditate for peace.

because we do nice things.

because we tithe.

because we don't hurt others.

NARROW is the GATE. And only through that GATE did both Pat and I know we wanted to qualify our lives. SO I come back and ask again: WHERE IS THE CHURCH. Wake Up! Wake Up! Jesus said in Revelation HE WILL SPIT YOU OUT. You cannot serve society/the world and the WORD. The line moving within the churches is the outcome of that effort. Gay preachers and segregated sermons.

JESUS was and is inclusive, in this way: COME as you are but don't LEAVE as you are.

NARROW is the GATE. And you know it.
