Never found in the Bible
Well, again I was confused. Didn't you think the Lion and the Lamb passage was from Isaiah? Didn't you think it was in the Bible?
Isaiah 11:6 PEACE in the MILLENIUM KINGDOM
The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb,
The leopard shall lie down with the young goat,
The calf and the young lion and the fatling together;
And a little child shall lead them.
Well a Pastor friend has offered me the idea that the Lion and the Lamb are both Jesus Christ, and, the quote is actually from Revelation 5:5–6
5 But one of the elders said to me, “Do not weep. Behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has prevailed to open the scroll and [a]to loose its seven seals.”
6 And I looked, [b]and behold, in the midst of the throne and of the four living creatures, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as though it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent out into all the earth.
But it seems to me that this often misquoted phrase is a mixture of two verses from Isaiah. Just interested in this little tidbit. Doesn't really appear in the Bible as an exact quote we have all used so many times.
