INSPIRED
I have to say that when I go to Church, and visit various churches around Kentucky in between my home church in Mt Juliet, Global Vision Bible Church - I am INSPIRED by the youth. Younger and younger, on their own steam - not coercion or family stress - coming to Jesus. Hungry for truth.
At Kingdom Center, at Evangel, at Believers Church - I find younger and younger groups of singers, worship leaders, class leaders and just being-in-church youth that give me such hope and inspiration.
I am getting Solar Energy Panels. The Company is called Covenant, and they are Christian. We had a little bump along the way, and it was handled exactly as you would expect... a Christ follower to handle the situation. I mean, here is LIFE by CHRIST in every day application.
The young man who came over to do the electrical part commented on the picture of Jesus over Pat's bed, and I shared her passing with him. (I KNOW, I still have to write this beautiful story out).
And our friendship grew from standing in our hallway and crying tears for the LORD, to meeting his young wife and them coming for dinner. Aside from forgetting, maybe not really ever knowing, how much a young man eats (!) - our time, our discussion, our tears and our sharing was a perfect gathering for the LORD'S BUSINESS.
AND IT, HE, THEY - INSPIRE ME FOR THE FUTURE.
The youth do care.
The youth are hungry for God.
The youth are hungry for the Truth of their own salvation.
I am so blessed to be standing in a way that I see it so often.
