Choice of Action and Direction
I actually stood before this sign in Ecuador. At the time, it was a fiercely blue sky just like this photo and I thought to myself how cool to be in the perceived center of place to make some many decisions and choices and directions.
Now, I am wondering about Spiritual Warfare and what we are, as Christians, to be doing about it. What are the correct choices in every situation facing us.
According to Matthew 26:52-54, Jesus pointed out to Peter that he doesn’t need violence to be protected:
“Put your sword back in its place,” Jesus said to him, “for all who draw the sword will die by the sword. Do you think I cannot call on my Father, and he will at once put at my disposal more than twelve legions of angels? But how then would the Scriptures be fulfilled that say it must happen in this way?”
When the Savior later met with Pontius Pilate, he pointed out that his disciples wouldn’t fight because of the nature of his Kingdom: John 18:26
“My kingdom is not of this world. If it were, my servants would fight to prevent my arrest by the Jewish leaders. But now my kingdom is from another place.”
Ah, but the Evil in the world. The accelerating pace of revelation right before us. So what do we do regarding abortions? the deliberate genocide of this vax by the elite? the deliberate mainstreaming of gender dysphoria? what do we do when we wake up?
What action, What choice, do we make when we see and recognize EVIL?
Maybe it is not about our choice, as that is all so clear in the Bible, in the WORLD. Maybe it is about how we stand with this truth and how we answer when people fall and start to gain their own understanding of how satan (through the manipulation of the world and worldly values) has been specifically misdirecting us.... to have us not see the truth. I spent a lifetime in alternative healing and meditation, shamanic drumming and crystals. Satan doesn't care what we believe as long as... it is not the Word of Jesus.
So that also determines how we deal with evil when it is right in front of us. Jesus said:
Matthew 5:39
But I say to you, Do not resist the one who is evil. But if anyone slaps you on the right cheek, turn to him the other also.
Romans 12:21
Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
Romans 12:19
Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave it to the wrath of God, for it is written, “Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord.”
Ephesians 6:12
For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.
So I read and read the Word, and work on myself. Put on my Armor of God and warily put down my fight. Just as I stared at those signs years ago and was overwhelmed by choice and joy, I think through the WORD of Jesus to establish my choices in actions. Love is always the answer. It is always available as a choice. I am working on it. We are here as The Hands and Feet, the BODY - God acts through us... as we stare evil right in the face.... I pray for the Holy Spirit to enter, guide and sustain my every step and to know when to fight.
