LIVING WATERS STREET MISSIONARY

An interesting, gentle uber cool minister. Check out how Ray Comfort - great name, right?? - see how he walks people through the ten commandments, encouraging them by their own definitions to see if judged by God they would go to Heaven.

I find this a really interesting, entertaining and provocative street ministry. These are the kinds of videos you could share with non-believers, with seekers, with fence-sitters. God is just so good, put every tool in your belt as you reach hearts. This one works for me.

Here is his site: LIVING WATERS MINISTRY

So as I enjoy these videos and interactions, I have come to also find dissention about Ray and his teachings. Yet this is considered a heresy by some. I am just studying this myself - but I can tell you there is no doubt that his street evangelism causes people to consider salvation and change - "to go and sin no more".  This is a New Term for me - Lordship Salvation. And how does it compare with Free Grace?

Let's dive in together.

8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—9 not by works, so that no one can boast.

Ephesians 1:13-14

13 And you also were included in Christ when you heard the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation. When you believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, 14 who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God's possession - to the praise of His glory.

So God has also forgiven our sins. And there is nothing we could do to lose that Salvation, nothing we could do to work to gain Salvation. So we can live the way we want, right? Would we want to live without repentance if we love Jesus? I know for me, I cannot. I could not. And I do not want to. I want closer and closer to Walk with Jesus. I know I must just trust HIM.

Okay so we are new creatures, made new by our faith.  Lordship Salvation puts in an obligation: we have evidence of our Salvation by the choices we make, the way we live. And, if we do not have fruit, do not have evidence - we do not have Salvation. Do I understand this correctly? Hmmm -This cannot be true, because this leads to FEARFUL living, and Nothing from God creates Fear.

And then Free Grace - this relies entirely on gratitude to motivate is, to desire to live as God wants us to. Again I know for me - this is definitely how I have changed and how I live. ALL I want is to really, truly, deeply and consistently please God.

WHAT GOD SAYS ABOUT ME CHANGES THE WAY I LIVE.

My Life and how I live it since I have accepted Jesus has made my behavior not a proof of salvation - but rather - it is a powerful result of my salvation. I am still reading the Living Word, everyday.  I am learning to ask and to wait and to hear from the Holy Spirit and THEN act in all things.

ROMANS 6:2

2 By no means! How can we who died to sin still live in it?

JOHN 15:5

5 “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.

MY CONCLUSION:

After reading so many verses tonight into the wee hours of the night - I know this to be my truth: FORGIVEN is FORGIVEN, He paid my entire debt on that Cross.

I cannot lose my Salvation but I can lose everything else in my life.

BECAUSE of that, BECAUSE of my Love for Him - I CHANGED.

Ray, I love your style and your approach - but, I now believe you are selling a partial truth and that....is so dangerous. We cannot lose our salvation: indeed, we are changed because of our salvation. We just need hand holding and help as we develop. We are the Living Waters we Receive.

Pick up our cross daily and follow Jesus.

This is a huge discussion in Christianity and I have just stumbled upon it as I was going to share one of my favorite Street Preachers, Ray Living Waters.

So... I am going to spend time in this. God Bless the Seeking!
