So a new catholic friend was telling me about this phrase. I had never heard it or of it. I grew up catholic, and have found much - much - about the religion I was schooled in all my youngest years (as in mass 6 days a week, all while being raped those same days, fighting and anger in the home those same days, love being exiled all those same days). I never had a relationship directly with Jesus, was taught not to bother Him. Call on the guardian angel.... Call on the assigned saint... call on the confessional. But never bother Jesus.
So as I have become so in Love with my Lord, I am open, and yet tentative, to revisit any idea from new passionate Catholic friends that Catholicism is charismatic and the "new" catholic is more like the new Christian.
I do not think so. I see idolatry and still the separation from Christ, honoring the Pope at all, most certainly as the Head of the Church - nope.
So I did look into this and thought I would share here for you. What are your thoughts?
