UNSHAKEABLE FAITH -= RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME

My new friend, Mandy is a young mother of 6. I met her at our Revival. I was drawn to her sheer LIGHTNESS immediately. Her daughter, Abigail, born with multiple unusual defects, is a joy to her life and to everyone of us in her proximity. She loves Jesus. She loves life. She was born with no eyeballs, a stint in her belly to eat and a respirator to breathe. And she is 100% Joy.

Mandy asked me the other day if I would like to join her, spend time going to the Indy Children's Hospital to get Abigail an MRI. We have been praying - and Mandy, all her life - praying in full expectation for new whole eyes and health. I knew it would be a wonderful day together.

I HAD NO IDEA.

Learning more about Mandy's life - which I won't share here - I was moved over and over by her quiet, consistent, personal faith and strength. Although she goes along in her life thinking she is unseen, I could not stop remarking how bright her light shown for me.

AND THAT ABIGAIL.

I was humbled by this day and experience. I cherish my new - young - friend and just how much she had to teach me by just going through her day to day. No one goes with her on these hospital runs: She has a major stop if she needs to pee on a drive, more than just moving a child out of a car: there are tubes and considerations.

i was humbled by the loving, almost carefree mothering Mandy had available for her child. Her truly unshakeable faith that God is FOR HER. God is ON HER SIDE. God has provided this long story for HER GOOD.
MAN! I have so far to go. Humbled I am Mandy. I write this to honor you as a mother and a child of God. And I write this to thank you for this friendship that uplevels my faith so.
