Imagine Walking with Christ - the last, oldest Apostle

John was an amazing story teller of his time and his witnessing and understand of his time with Christ. Can you even imagine?!  As I read again the three letters of John I was touched by his exceptional positivity for us all. And that the Time Drew Near of the End.
2000 years ago.

GOD IS LOVE. THIS is Everything.
Imagine showing up, being carried actually, to speak at a Church - a Guest Speaker so to speak.
And All he says is: LOVE ON ANOTHER. GOD IS LOVE.

Imagine.

And Imagine Apostle John watching, in so short a time, imposters dilute the Lord's message and His time on the earth. Wow.

Live as sons and daughters of a living, loving God-Father.

There is no fear in perfect Love.

So why were we/they forgetting so fast? why were things already getting distracted and looking into new directions, when the LIVING APOSTLE was among them?
I wonder this.

Satan's work. Gnosticism grew into two diverse distracting symptoms.

Gnosticism was a second-century religious movement claiming that salvation could be gained through a special form of secret knowledge.

Adherents believed that the material world was created by a lesser divinity, and only through this esoteric wisdom could one transcend this flawed reality. Central to Gnostic thought was the idea that the true "divine spark" resided within individuals and could be liberated through spiritual enlightenment

Dualism: Gnostics believed that the world was divided into the physical and spiritual realms. The created, material world (matter) is evil, and therefore in opposition to the world of the spirit, and only the spirit is good. Adherents of Gnosticism often constructed an evil, lesser god and beings of the Old Testament to explain the creation of the world (matter) and considered Jesus Christ a wholly spiritual God.

God: Gnostic writings often describe God as incomprehensible and unknowable. This idea conflicts with Christianity’s concept of a personal God who desires a relationship with human beings. Gnostics also separate the inferior god of creation from the superior god of redemption.

JOHN HAD TO REMIND HIS CHURCHES, HIS BELOVEDS, HIS CHILDREN->

  • Jesus was human, not a spirit ghost. “I’ll tell you how you can recognize God’s Spirit in someone. People led by God’s Spirit will acknowledge Jesus Christ came here as a flesh-and-blood human being” (1 John 4:2).
  • God the Father and Jesus the Son are one, whatever that means; John doesn’t explain it. “Anyone who rejects the Son has already rejected the Father. But anyone who believes in the Son also has the Father” (1 John 2:23). “Everyone who loves his or her Father loves his Child” (1 John 5:1).
  • Believers are one with God. “Anyone who obeys God is spiritually linked to him, united. God lives in that person. God’s Spirit and the spirit of that person become one, making decisions together. We know this because the Spirit God gave us lives inside of us” (1 John 3:24).

I am reminded that Love is All. It does not mean agree with sin, but love that sinner.

John 1:1-> God is LIGHT. There is No DARKNESS in JESUS.
John 1:2-> Choose, God or World - they do not co-exist.
John 1:3-> Love everyone and Relax with God.
John 1:4-> God's kids love each other, Frauds are easy to Spot
John 1:5-> I already have received the Eternal Prize

My Favorite Verse:
But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.

John 2  -> I have the truth. Do not accept or hear or entertain imposters, frauds.
My Favorite Verse:
For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.

John 3-> Hospitality, Model the Good
My Favorite Verse:
Beloved, follow not that which is evil, but that which is good. He that doeth good is of God: but he that doeth evil hath not seen God.

Such a beginner.
Sometimes I am a little distraught that I need so much help still...  yet. Solidly and Suredly am I on the journey that never ends until I am WITH my Lord.

Imagine.
