Again, it was my brother Rick who brought this into focus to me. I wrote Rick right after this happened, immediately after this conversation because I knew it was important to confess it, as though I needed his witness to it. 

It was a covenant.

Bev and I were talking and she had fallen and hurt her leg, needed drugs etc... and felt all alone. She missed Patti and she said her biggest fear and dread was that she would die alone, be sick and old alone in a health care system that does not love her or care about her.

IMMEDIATELY I promised that would never happen: That I would never let her be alone or trapped in an assisted living home. She was seized up with emotion. I said, "look the last person I made that promise to zoomed up to Heaven on the short-cut flight...."
So she did not need to worry.

It was a moment.

Truly.
Pure Holy Spirit, powerful and without hesitation.

HERE is what my dear brother texted me, and shook me up into the reality of this Walk:

Wow… “Walk with her” takes you into a deeper level of self-sacrifice to another, huh? Wow.

How beautiful Rick. I would never have realized that, quietly, on my own.
Maybe it is - will be -  part of Chapter 4 of the Story.

I called Bevvy today just to let her know, separately and again, that I meant what I promised last night. She was filled to overflow, I know.

John 13:34-35

A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another, even as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this all men will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.”

But whoever has the world’s goods, and sees his brother in need and closes his heart against him, how does the love of God abide in him? Little children, let us not love with word or with tongue, but in deed and truth.

Matthew 25:40

The King will answer and say to them, ‘Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did it to one of these brothers of Mine, even the least of them, you did it to Me.’

God, HERE AM I, USE ME -
Let my walk please You Lord.
I know the IMMEDIACY of that response was of the Spirit.
