TONIGHT you can be in Paradise ~
My Aunt is dying.
She is lovely.
My cousins are exhausted, loving, beautiful people.
I am so glad I reconnected with them.
I was so so blessed to have a visit a few months ago, after decades of no connection. Nothing happened between us, just laziness. We each blamed it on my Mom, troubled in her own life for family secrets to become shared across the wrong lines.
I was absolutely floored with the gentlesness, acceptance, intrerest - of my "family".
The very first question they asked me was about Jesus and my changed life.
I went back a few weeks ago, when I found Aunt Carol was suddenly sick.
Unexpected.
Quick turn of events at the hospital.
Worsening.
I believe she is going to die tonight or tomorrow, or within days.
I pray for the family: I encourage the kids to speak Jesus over their mother.
There is nothing, not one thing, that even matters except:
DO YOU KNOW JESUS and DO YOU LOVE HIM.
I am praying for her to hear His voice -TONIGHT.
I am praying for her children to fully and passionately accept Christ as Savior - TONIGHT.
Oh I am so glad I was there and able to so fully visit and share the gospel, share the family stories, and share such recovery with these fabulous, joyful, simple and simply kind people I get to call my family.
Everyday, how blessed am I.
Aunt Carol, cousins - Hear the Lord. He is calling you right now.
He invites you Home - if, and when, you say YES. My Lord and My Savior.
Somehow my cousin Jeff, and all the husbands and sons... were never in the photos. But such loving pics they took!
Aunt Carol: What a successful life you have lived. You have been truly happy. You have been truly loved. Ken and you were the joyful adults, and the love in my childhood. I am so glad I got to tell you.
What a successful life you lived: Your children and their husbands and wives all love you. Stay with you. All live within blocks of you and their childhood home. I remember tha house from my childhood visits.
Life and Death. Full Cycle.
I am comforted to know that God makes us and God takes us.
I pray for peace and readiness when I am called home, as I saw in Pat's dimming eyes.
And I pray for that right now, tonight, for my Aunt and her surrounding family.
I pray they speak Jesus over her.
My Prayer warriors are all doing so.
