I seem to be absorbed right into the story of David. Again. Still.
Come with a Pedigree.
Come with a Name.
Come with a Covenant.
Come with a Redemption.
Come with Stones - Five Stones.
Where do I start?
My Goliath was - and forever will be - overcome by my Pedigree.
By the Name that covers me. By the Coevnant with my King and Master.
By my Redemption and forward-only life-path.
Transition. When and How did my transition happen.
How did David's?
In the field, David was chosen.... but it was in the House, the name, the bloodline of his Father that he was anointed.
My identification is no longer with Lisa, and my gifts, and my talents and world stories.
I am not (any longer) who I am by what I have done or can do.
I am by who my Father Says I am.
My identification is now with my Father.
I am a child of the King.
That Pedigree overarches absolutely everything.
I stumbled upon this series on Amazon, wondering why none of my Christians told me about it. As I am suffering with pollen and allergies leveling me, swelling my eyes, I cannot read. But I can watch this absurdly huge TV in my room - praise God. And I did.
I was pulled into this show, knowing Saul and David are my story. It somehow is my first, freeing story when I left Indiana. How it came to serve me when I faced outward and saw Goliath.... and knew not what I was going to do or become.
David - he took off Saul's armour.
David - he laid down the sword.
David - he picked up stones.
David's was a different House.
David's was a different Bloodline.
David's was a different Pedigree.
MY PEDIGREE walks on water.
MY PEDIGREE cures the sick.
MY PEDIGREE rises from death.
I take off the Harrawood name and bloodline and I leave it behind and I walk differently.
Those old Lisa details are from a lie.
From the Devil - father of Lies.
So, like David -
Somethign Different now Runs Through Me.
I am not living in the world through my ability any longer, but through my credibility.
David's credibilty was from the field: The Lion. The Bear.
Transition is complex, confusion, often messy.
People don't recognize us after we uplevel in transition.
David was the musician, he was not recognized as a warrior. As a future king.
I was a lazy leftist lesbian, and I am not recognized by my old world as a warrior. A future kingdom citizen.
David kills the giant Goliath and is a new man, unrecognizable. Others will be jealous. Many confused.
Jesus is unrecognziable by his closest disciples after he rose.
I am in good company:
MY oldest friend does not recognize me and my values.
My entire family cannot grasp what I have gone thorugh and become. Where I set my eyes.
I am new.
I am different.
It was never my story that gave me authority.
It was never my work that made me who I am.
By my anointing I am a Daughter of God.
I am not the "woman with the blood issue" - I am the woman who pushed through, and crawled through a crowd and touched His Garment and be saved by faith.
And I didn't even know it.
I did not know, I could not have recognized "my place".
Now I cannot turn my eyes away from that "place".
The House of God is my place. A high place.
Seated at the right side of Jesus.
I have been inducted into the Holy Family. Into the Trinity Family.
JOHN 17:6-26
Jesus Prays for His Disciples
6 “I have [a]manifested Your name to the men whom You have given Me out of the world. They were Yours, You gave them to Me, and they have kept Your word. 7 Now they have known that all things which You have given Me are from You. 8 For I have given to them the words which You have given Me; and they have received them, and have known surely that I came forth from You; and they have believed that You sent Me.
9 “I pray for them. I do not pray for the world but for those whom You have given Me, for they are Yours. 10 And all Mine are Yours, and Yours are Mine, and I am glorified in them. 11 Now I am no longer in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to You. Holy Father, keep[b] through Your name those whom You have given Me, that they may be one as We are. 12 While I was with them [c]in the world, I kept them in [d]Your name. Those whom You gave Me I have kept; and none of them is [e]lost except the son of [f]perdition, that the Scripture might be fulfilled. 13 But now I come to You, and these things I speak in the world, that they may have My joy fulfilled in themselves. 14 I have given them Your word; and the world has hated them because they are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. 15 I do not pray that You should take them out of the world, but that You should keep them from the evil one. 16 They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. 17 Sanctify[g] them by Your truth. Your word is truth. 18 As You sent Me into the world, I also have sent them into the world. 19 And for their sakes I sanctify Myself, that they also may be sanctified by the truth.
Jesus Prays for All Believers
20 “I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who [h]will believe in Me through their word; 21 that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me. 22 And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one: 23 I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me.
24 “Father, I desire that they also whom You gave Me may be with Me where I am, that they may behold My glory which You have given Me; for You loved Me before the foundation of the world. 25 O righteous Father! The world has not known You, but I have known You; and these have known that You sent Me. 26 And I have declared to them Your name, and will declare it, that the love with which You loved Me may be in them, and I in them.”
Like David - Like you fellow believer - I am One with Him. Glory brings me into that Union.
He is my Pedigree.
He is my Power.
I come into the benefits of that Pedigree as a part of God's Family and am Spiritually Blessed, set Above Disease. Set Above Stress. Set Above Worry. Set Above Lack.
I am above and stronger than the demons that so controlled my life before Jesus.
I am stronger than Goliath.
I com,e with the Name and the Pedigree.
Like David, I come forth and say to King Saul; send me my Lord, use me.
Who can defy or defile the House of the Lord?
David's young story has taught me talk back with Great, Divine Grace.
His fall will teach me new postures.
