ACTS 29

It begins in a moment suspended between earth and eternity.

— Acts 1:8

“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

The Word lingers as Jesus prepares to ascend—both a promise and a calling.

The resurrection has already rewritten the story of death, and now the story must travel.
What began in a quiet corner of the world is meant to reach its furthest edges.

To the ends of the earth.

And then, power arrives.

The Holy Spirit falls not as a whisper, but as a rushing, undeniable presence.

Suddenly!

Fear gives way to boldness.
Ordinary voices rise with extraordinary clarity, crossing languages, cultures, and divides.

What was once hidden bursts into the open. This is the birth of the Church—not as an institution, but as a living, breathing movement set in motion.

It begins in Jerusalem, never was it meant to stay there.
Ends of the Earth!

This is the turning point—the realization that the gospel does not belong to a single people, but to all people. Across regions and cultures, it takes root, reshaping lives and communities along the way.

And then, Paul.

A man transformed into a vessel of relentless purpose.

The story closes in Rome, the center of power, where Paul remains under house arrest—yet still preaching, still teaching, still carrying the flame.

The mission has not been silenced. If anything, it has only just begun.
Because the Book of Acts was never meant to feel finished.

It is a story of movement—of faith in motion, of boundaries breaking, of a message that refuses to stand still. It reveals how belief, rooted in conviction and carried in community, can echo far beyond its beginnings.

It is a story of perseverance.
Of inclusion.
Of lives changed and history reshaped by the Lord.
By the Word.

And a call that still commands us:

Go.
Carry the message.
To the ends of the earth.

The book of Acts ends at chapter 28.

Acts 29 is mostly unwritten.
But it is being written in me.

What will I do?
Who will I touch?
Ends of the Earth.

Well… a footnote.

Apparently, there is a “Chapter 29” of Acts—something I hadn’t known before. It’s considered apocryphal, so not part of the official text, but still interesting. Maybe another time I’ll dig into it and explore the idea of whether Paul ever made it to Spain and continued writing.

For now, though, I’ll leave it here:

Suddenly! I am Chapter 29.
